About Zambia
The Republic of Zambia is a landlocked country located at the crossroads of Central, Southern and East Africa. The capital city is Lusaka, situated in the south-central part of the country. The population is mainly concentrated around Lusaka and the Copperbelt Province in the north, which are the country's core economic hubs. Zambia is rich in natural resources but many of its people struggle with poverty.
Christianity is believed to have arrived in Zambia during the mid 19th century. It is estimated just over 80% of the population is Christian. Today churches are well-attended but there is a great need for Bible training.
About Veritas College Zambia
The first Veritas training started with a small participant group in 2003. While there is no Veritas office in Zambia, a National Coordinator oversees the programmes. Today Veritas College training takes place in nine provinces across the country, supporting local churches to develop a God-centred, biblically-based vision and equipping members for service and leadership that transforms their local communities.

Graduates in Chianyano, ZambiaTraining Materials
The Veritas Module workbooks are available in English and Chichewa (spoken mostly in Malawi). Module 1 is available in Bemba (spoken widely in the north-east of Zambia) and local translators are currently working on translating more VCI modules into Bemba. Training materials are subsidized for participants. View the content of our curriculum here: Outline: Modules 1-4
Facilitator Training
In order to make training more accessible and affordable, VCI trains local facilitators who in turn train members in their own church communities. This approach has resulted in many changed lives and large numbers of leaders and members have been equipped with the skills to understand the Bible, apply its message to their lives and communicate it clearly.
