compost largeTwelve farmers from six churches took part in a refresher course focusing on Biblical teaching which connects their Christian faith with farming. The course is entitled ‘Farming God’s Way’ and includes practical teaching that helps develop sustainable farming practices, know as Conservation Farming (CF). The participants’ testified how this approach has challenged them to improve their care and use of natural resources and how it has already improved the yields as soil and water is conserved and improved through minimal tillage, mulch and crop rotations (these practices are the basic methodology of CF). The farmers went away encouraged and envisioned to share the message and approach with other farmers through farmers’ study groups in their villages.
